International Clan Gatherings are held approximately every 4 to 5 years. Recent ones have included Wester Ross (1998), Canada (2001), Scotland (2004) and Australia and New Zealand, 28th March to 11th April 2008. Clan Matheson attended "The Gathering" at Edinburgh's Holyrood Park in 2009. Click here to view images from that event.
These gatherings provide a very enjoyable way to meet other Mathesons, as well as experiencing the hospitality, culture and scenery of some of the countries where Mathesons set up home.

Clansmen and women from all over the world are also welcome at events hosted by our very active national branches. For example, the US branch has put together an ambitious West Coast 2009 Highland Games schedule. The US branch also hopes to be represented at various events on the east coast of the USA.
